^ who said rap sucked?
Rap is not as bad as everyone makes it out to be. Ignore all thoe ignorant low lifes who say that it's all bad. There are so many great rappers out there. Nas being on of the top ones out there. Big Pun (May he rest in peace) was definitely one of the greats who helped open the door to latino music in america. (Yo we coming up. First celia cruz, then selena, then big pun, now we got our own awards. That's what's up. It's ashame we got jeenifer lopez to represent the puerto ricans.) In any case there are lots of greats in rap. You just have to search and find something you like. Peace out and eat lots of nutter butters.

I consider myself a very accepting person of all kinds of music, buuuut....to be honest, rap doesnt suck at all. The people who rap do however suck quite miserabely. I like rap back when it was original. I gotta say as of right now rap is dead. Rims, ho's, "tha money", "n' weed" are not elements that make for a good song, and until rap moves away from this gangster crap I would agree that current rap sucks......the big one.

^ not all rap is about rims and ho's, although the popular rap is. isnt it kinda, i dunno, hypocritical to say rap doesnt suck but it's dead? im not trying to argue with you or anything. but i noticed lots of rap fans are more concerned about the beat of the song and the "street cred" of the rapper more so than what they're talking about. most people cant relate to the music, but wish they could.

Back in the day you had rappers like 2Pac, Big Pun, Coogie Rep, Biggie and a ton of others. That was rap. Today you've got peple like 50 cent, Llyod Banks and G-Unit and whatever claiming to be rappers. Rap doesn't suck. Just the guys who are currently the latest thing these chics swoon over. And they're all ugly anyway so i don't know why the heck people listen to them. And I'm still amazed by the fact that they can even make money rapping. they are so awful. So rap doesn't suck entirely when you think of all the past rappers. But rap is dead because it seems to be getting worse with each and every passing generation. Anytime a rapper can come out with a song like '21 Questions' you can tell that people don't even care about the music they're listening to so much as tey care about what the rapper has been through and wahtnot. And getting shot 9 times does not consitute as reason enough to be able to get famous. And if I shot him 9 times he'd be dead. Anything to be spared the crap they play on MTV, BET and the radio waves. Just thinking about makes me wanna shoot him 9 times.

Rap can have some good points about it, and can sometimes have alot of meaning, but alot of the times its too fast too understand. Im sure alot of people like it, but my personal opinion is that I don't like it as much as I like other styles of music

^^ i dunno, i like guys like ghostface killah and nas better lyrically than lots of the guys from the past, like B.I.G. or big punisher. theres good rap out there right now, it's just not on the radio (as much). but the stuff the rich white high school kids are listening to...horrible....just horrible....
