im 26 but an enormous grunge fan it made me want to play guitar in the early 90's and i still do to this day. I dont play grunge music but i am super glad that it was around while i was growing up. you did have good bands like genesis tom petty and tool was around metallica there were some other good ones. Then came the Seattle music and it was so strong to me in comparison to the other songs even at 11 or 12 that i had to have it. Not because someone told me it was cool but because the sound was fresh and thats what stuck with me.

I should also add that I agree with Rainard Jalen as well. The real chart-topping music is just plain old pop, and it's been that way for decades. I don't see it changing in the foreseeable future. |

is it that gosh darned internets things? i swears that fad should just go away and die already. there's nothing worth anything on those stupid world wide webs. just porn and free access to any kind of music under the sun. absolutely completely and utterly worthless.
elton john was right the internet should be unplugged for 5 years so the kids these days get a clue about GOOD music, that stuff hasn't been made since '74. |
