well this is one of the few pictures with all five members of the band. I really like the fact that Syd is looking up, just looking up and smiling, and Roger is looking the other way

I wish I grew up in the 70's. I was born then but too young to appreciate it. A bunch of hippies holed up at a farmhouse in the middle of nowhere, smoking dope and jamming. Cool as.

I've always thought the beer cans in that picture were funny. Where did they find such tiny cans?

They are 330's I would say. You can still get Heiniken in that size. They look quite immature looking back but when I was 14 that was THE band picture.

I know it is technically cheating as it isnt a picture of a band but I would have to choose this. This came to mind as soon as I read the title of the topic. I still need to track down this in poster version or something. It is, for me, simply the perfect example of iconic rock and roll imagery.

beautiful photo, and an awesome story behind it. Warhol gave dylan this double portrait of elvis, and he took it home tied to the top of his station wagon. later he traded it to his manager for a couch. Nat Finkelstein is a brilliant photographer.
