Haha. That's a great review.

I don't want to like Coldplay. I find them annoying and I feel annoyed with myself for liking some of their stuff.

In my opinion, a lot of their stuff is designed to have processed appeal across the board to just about everyone, "Yes" for instance has very deep vocals and a lot of guitar distortion which makes fans of hard rock like them, but at the same time there's the nauseating sensitivities and pathetic whining of songs like "X & Y" and "Paradise".

You shouldn't feel bad about it, I'm sure that there are good ideas woven in with some of their songs. I myself think "Shiver" is quite a good song, and "Violet Hill" is OK apart from the awful guitar solo.

And I think that counts as a "musical secret" from me, too!

That backwards music video is so awesome! Just how weird was it when you first saw that kid ride backwards past him?

I do too. Foiled is a fantastic album

I still like Linkin Park. Don't hate Nickelback or Slipknot. Occasionally find time to enjoy System of a Down.

In general, I'm ambivalent towards Post Grunge and Nu Metal as a whole, not really feeling strongly about them in either direction. (While it seems the rest of the musically literate internet hates them both )
