That's awesome, I like them too, but it just seems like a rite of passage into snobbish music elitism to say things like:

I'm not sure that I have any. I could embarrass myself by admitting to music I used to love, but I don't enjoy it anymore, and it was a part of the natural growth process, in which there is no shame.

I never really got into Linkin Park, but I used to like Slipknot. In all honesty, I liked the heavier parts in slipknot songs, and I was always sort of bummed out they had to include whiny vocals in between the heavy parts. It's not like I don't see the point of it, contrast and all, but it felt kind of forced and a bit gimmicky.

i have no shame in saying i still like slipknot.
if its socially acceptable to listen to nicki minaj on here than there shouldn't be any stigma about listening to slipknot.

Van Halen and Korn used to be my favourite bands.
So glad I crawled out of that hole.

I respect what they've done for music (same for Korn) but I just got sick of their music, don't know if it was overlistening or why I don't like it anymore. So I felt the need to say it as a secret since I greatly dislike the music now.
