need help for a school project
For my senior project, I am comparing two marches: Verdi's Triumphal March and Sousa's Washington Post March
I did some research, wrote a pretty terrible paper (info was good, but the actual structure of it was a mess) and got a 95%. So I'm thinking I don't have to try too hard. But I'm presenting recordings of both marches to a music theory class and recording their observations of each one, and then giving them a mini-lesson about what could cause the differences based on how music developed in America. I have some research to use, but if you guys have any ideas for things to make note of or anything, please let me know, especially if you are familiar with the songs. I'm sorry I can't provide you with youtube links; the site won't let me post links... but please please please take the time to search it (won't be hard to find... there are tons of recordings of both songs on youtube) if you are not familiar with either song Thank you so much! |

Use your common sence and an encyclopedia. Find what happened during the years they were made, and then you will magically know more about them.
Trust me your theory teacher will love that.
