Default 2009 Predictions

I know that since Chinese Democracy has finally been released, many of you no longer have the need to anticipate new music, but I thought it would still be fun to guess what is in store for us next year.

I myself am hoping for a new Massive Attack album.

gogogogo.

U2 is supposedly coming out with a new one. Not a huge fan of their recent stuff but it'll be interesting to hear what they come up with. They said it has world music and trance influences. Can't really imagine that but we'll see.

-The Strokes will return to studio to make what will undoubtedly be another letdown
-Arctic Monkeys will put out a really good album... really, really good
-Coldplay will not break up like Chris Martin claimed they would
-Jeff Mangum will do something... not sure what, but this recent surprise holiday tour surely got his blood flowing again

I'd like to see a collab between Aesop Rock and Matisyahu, i know Aesop is way overrated, but I think it would be amazing.

No, I'm in Toledo which is about 30 mins from Detroit where they played one of the concerts and I found out about it about a week later... I've never been so musically angry in my entire life

He didn't even play a full set...and he's made appearances since In the Aeroplane Over the Sea tons of times and even played a few shows. I wouldn't hope for much.

Hopefully Patrick Wolf will release his album.
