The Mars Volta, maybe not de-loused, but more progressively they have become different than any other bands.

Meh. It's a dud question really. As others have said, everything is building on some other foundation. It's more a question of degree. The question is how different does such and such sound from other music of its type? |

Oh god i knew i'd get a few boring old bastards saying 'oh but all music has influences yadda yadda yadda', of course it does, but that odesn't mean that a band can do something unique with those influences even if you can hear a slight hint of those influences in there sound.
I'm sorry but the title does make ****ing sense and i don't see why my input is necessarily needed on the first post. |
