I find AC/DC to be very over rated. All of their songs sound the same and they always sing about the same things: rockin' out and scoring chicks. So naturally, I also feel that their new album is generic and mediocre at best.

Well, personally, I don't really have any interest in "scoring chicks." Music to me isn't about rocking out either, I do it for expression and emotion. Though with that said, there's nothing wrong with it, it's just a matter of taste.

AC/DC has something very unique, if it is switched on at any party or venue it can completely change the atmosphere of the room no matter what the song. It evokes the feeling that the party is really getting started. One of the best gigs I ever went to was a horrible band that was three songs in and was ready to get booed of the stage, they decided to abandon ship on their material and just play AC/DC tunes for the rest of the night. The place went ape shit and it was one of the best nights out a club I've ever had. Once the music starts the men start to pick up the pace with the brews and the women start dancing, I can't think of another band that can make that magic happen

Not the vibe I get from AC/DC songs at all. Earlier this year I spent three months living in a tiny little seaside town in California. There was really only one bar in town so if I wanted a drink that was my only option. The place was kind of a dive and had 70s rawk cover bands seven nights a week. Every time one of the bands would play an AC/DC song, a couple of middle-aged, overweight women with bleached hair would get up and do some rhythm-free, titty-shaking dances on the almost empty dance floor in an embarrassing attempt to appear sexy. It was really pretty sad. That's the kind of image I have in my head when I hear AC/DC.

What the fuck is wrong with people on this forum?
I don't want AC/DC to sound original I want them to sound like fucking AC/DC. I want to listen to a balls to the wall rock n roll band when I put on an AC/DC record , and they're bloody good at making them. That's why they appeal to people. If you complain AC/DC are not original then as far as i'm concerned if your looking for that from an AC/DC album then you are clearly a clueless mong in the first place , so sod off and go listen to your safe 'critically acclaimed' or 'current indie darlings' bands instead.
