Great album.
I feel like that's the critic's cop-out from admitting that it sucks.

"You gotta listen to the album as a whole, man!"

"If you're just listening for one good song, you're listening wrong!"

It's just such a yawnfest album, and I can't stand the singing. It's like a piss-poor imitation of Thom Yorke's style.

It was made as a more complete piece of work, they didn't want to put out a few catchy singles that get radio airplay. Saying it's a more complete album instead of just an album that contains a few good songs isn't copping out or admitting is sucks..

Right but saying that the album is "complete" doesn't make it good, you know?

IE, I love many of the songs from Songs for the Deaf, but when you listen to the album as a whole and understand the theme/underlying message, it makes the album so much better.

I listened to Oracular and the hits just stand out, hence why they're called hits. With Congratulations at first I could just listen and all the tracks just blended into one. I think it has a really good feel to it, I'm glad there are no stand out tracks until you get used to the album. Definitely my favourite of the year thus far.

Nice list you got there. Relationship Of Command, Global A Go-Go, and The Shape Of Punk To Come especially, nice to see another 95er around here.
