Holy heck, christmas time is soon upon us. Christmas videos here!

It's december and we're getting closer to christmas time. Let's post some videos that puts you, me and everybody else in a christmas mood.

Since I just reviewed a Kate Bush album, I'll start this thread with a Kate Bush christmas song.

Kate Bush - December will be Magic Again

jackhammer 12-05-2008 12:21 PM

Christmas can quite honestly just fuck off this year. Bah humbug.

kyleargyle 12-05-2008 03:31 PM

sweet! gets me in the christmas spirit!

Guybrush 12-06-2008 06:31 AM

Come on Jack, that's a bit cynical .. :)

Maybe good old Billy Idol is able to get you in a christmas mood. (I posted this before in a certain thread, but what the heck!)

Comus 12-06-2008 06:35 AM

Ian Beale cancelled christmas, so yeah, it's off officially now.

Guybrush 12-06-2008 06:43 AM

Damn, you guys are just too cold. If this video of Ozzy Osbourne and Jessica Simpson singing this wonderful christmas song doesn't melt your frozen hearts, I'm not sure what will.

soldersold 12-06-2008 03:07 PM

get me into the holiday spirit

sleepy jack 12-06-2008 03:07 PM

You're a really cool guy soldersold.

Are you serious? After Billy Idol doing such a great job, I was almost certain that the duet with Ozzy and Jessica Simpson would be enough to fill anyone with a wonderful holiday feeling. I mean, that's like the height of their careers, that video.

Anyways, there's always more yule-stuff. Let's look at amazing metal heroes "Twisted Sister" for a moment.

In the following video, we're in the studio with Dee Schneider who talks a little bit about their upcoming (now released of course) album "Twisted Christmas" in which they play metal covers of christmas songs. Then they give us a sample of their version of "12 days of christmas".

If that didn't give you a warm, tingly christmas feeling, then also check out the next one I'm posting .. This video, also a song from their christmas album, is "Oh Come All Ye Faithful" and the video parodies their legendary music video for their 80s hit "We're not gonna take it".

Wow .. If you didn't already think of Dee and his gang as sitting on the very throne of metal, then these videos will surely convince you otherwise.

I'm going to buy the album just to spite you. :basketbal

I know now why I've been so pissed off lately...Christmas is around the corner and I really just want it to fuck of.

I agree :D

Guybrush 12-08-2008 05:25 PM

Crap, you guys are just cold. If you can stand against this norwegian christmas-song medley from Erlend and Steinjo, I'm impressed. It is everything good about christmas concentrated and put into one single video.

At the start, there's a lot of norwegian songs. Some classics appear in the second half. Enjoy!

Guybrush 11-10-2009 09:37 AM

Hokay, the years go by quickly. Already it's november and the christmas treats are starting to show up. Time to revive last year's thread :D

This year, Robert Halford has released an album with holiday jingles. Fans of Judas Priest and Halford, rejoice!

FETCHER. 11-10-2009 10:09 AM

Everyone in here was sooo pessimistic last year :(

I can't find my favourite Christmas song! :(

SATCHMO 11-10-2009 10:17 AM

Of course....

adidasss 11-10-2009 10:19 AM

What's Chritmas? :D

Mojo 11-10-2009 11:00 AM

I hate Christmas music. I really do.

FETCHER. 11-10-2009 11:38 AM

Same, except the one with all the swearing in it. That ones class cos it never gets played, um.. so children don't swear.

Rickenbacker 11-10-2009 04:45 PM

How does this work? Bowie and Bing? Nice!

+81 11-10-2009 04:46 PM

Why does half of musicbanter hate joy?

music_phantom13 11-10-2009 06:38 PM

This thread makes me sad.

Some good songs:

Dismemberment Plan - This Christmas
The Raveonettes - The Christmas Song

You guys really don't like those songs?

+81 11-10-2009 06:48 PM

The Christmas Song is nice. Haven't heard the Dismemberment Plan one but they're awesome too.

Guybrush 11-11-2009 01:36 AM

Haha, lovely vids Molecules and Captain :D

Here's The Darkness' rather awful Christmas song with accompanying embarassing video.

...I like that song...

Mine (and everybody elses that I know) favourite Christmas song. NOTHING can top this.

I miss the battle for Christmas Number One, nowadays it is an absolute certainty that the X Factor victor will get the top spot. Another reason to hate that show.

I dunno, every christmas I go back to the town I come from and people live more far apart down there so I'm always driving between friends. I often listen to the radio when I'm driving and sometimes it feels like they play that song once every 15 minutes during christmas. It's a brilliant song, but I've had it up to here if you know what I mean.

I really like the kind of christmas songs where artists of old lose all integrity and just record yule-****e because they're in desperate need for a buck. Listening to them fills me with a warm sense of .. what's it called? We say "skadefryd" and the germans say "schadenfreude". I guess you could say it's a delicious kind of evil gloat. I take pleasure in the despair it must or should cause millions of fans.

It's also the underlying theme of this thread, though many have not yet noticed :p: The Ozzy/Simpson duet from page 1 is a prime example. It is brilliant in it's horrificness!

Thats the one I wanted to post! But never knew the artist nor the title :(. Awesome song!

Mojo 11-11-2009 10:25 AM

The Pogues and John Lennon are probably the only two commercial Christmas songs i like, as in the ones i have to hear every year whether i want to hear them or not. To a lesser extent, Slade, i suppose.
