i'm beginning to think that not many people are responding to this thread because they're dreading the thought of listening to your or my libraries, haha. no offense.

but yeah, i'll do yours, just a second.

sidewinder's Library

Genesis-In The Rapids
I've heard really good things about The Lamb Dies Down on Broadway. i can also see how Phil Collins sounds almost Peter Gabriel. overall this song isn't bad,a good mix of gentle and strength 3.5/5

NOFX-I Don't Want You Around
Is it me or did every punk band in the 90's have a ska styled song? i may be getting the wrong impression from these guys, this may be their key sound. even so i like this, pretty funny too. 4/5

Jel-Nice Last
Never heard of this artist before, but so far it's some pretty chill electronica. not bad, not bad at all. 3/5

Saroos-Noone
some MORE electronica. i like some of the sounds being used, really surreal 3.5/5

Comets on Fire-Hatched Upon an Age
hmmm.......pretty good rock with a story type of rock. i really like the guitars in here. i'm also digging the singer's voice 4/5

Antionio's library

Superjoint Ritual "Stupid Stupid Man"
The beat was pretty cool, but I still hate this style of metal.

Foo Fighters "Come Alive"
I prefer the hard rock Foo Fighters, but this was pretty good.

Sex Pistols "Problems"
It's all right, but I've always hated those vocals. Cool guitar stuff though.

Van Halen "Right Now"
Van Halen were definitely better than most of their contemporaries. This song didn't do anything for me though, aside from some cool guitar stuff.

Megadeth "Dawn Patrol"
I like Megadeth probably the most out of the big four of thrash. When they try stuff like this it tends to kinda suck though. Just thrash boys.

Cancer Bats - Grenades
Not one of their better songs. 3/5

Sparta - The Most Vicious Crime
First song I've haerd by them, good stuff. 4/5

The Clash - The Right Profile
I've heard this somewhere before... good song. 3.5/5

Every Time I Die - Rebel Without Applause
On paper, I should like this band. But I hate them. SO MUCH. 1.5/5

Jawbreaker - Bad Scene, Everyone's Fault
Cool, they're an older band right? Probably influenced Green Day's early sound. 3.5/5

Radiohead-Polyethylene (Parts 1 & 2)
I've actually never heard this song before, judging from the comments it's one of their more popular b-sides. OK Computer is one of my all-time favorite albums, so how can I really say no to this song? 3.5/5

Faith No More-Woodpecker From Mars
Faith No More is one of those bands that I've had on my "check-these-guys-out" list for over a year and have never gotten around to listening to any of their stuff. This is apparently an instrumental, great bassline. The song really doesn't seem to do much though for an instrumental, just seemed like it repeated the same two bits. This probably wasn't the best song to listen to first since I have never really listened to these guys, but overall I enjoyed it. Another 3.5/5.

Jeff Buckley-Calling You (Live)
Another artist I've been meaning to check out for awhile, what a great voice. Pretty raw live performance, another 3.5/5.

Dead Kennedys-Your Emotions
Didn't enjoy this one, sorry. Not a punk fan. 2/5.

Muse-Invincible
Love me some Muse. I didn't enjoy Black Holes quite as well as I did Absolution, but it was still a fine album. This song didn't quite do as much for me as some others, but still a 4/5.

Old school cheese, I love it.

My Poor Brain-Foo Fighters
I like a bit of the Foo, not this. booooooring.

Gone Away-The Offspring
Guilty Pleasure. One of their best songs.

I'm So Sick-Flyleaf
Really hate this song, but I got a live version, which i really enjoyed. ehh, might actually look into them.

Bullet Wit hButterfly Wings-Smashing Pumpkins
Gotta love it.

Woulda been more interesting if it played a song I hadn't heard before.

Don't throw the generic mock typing at me just yet. One of the big ideas of punk was a whole DIY ethic not to mention you didnt have to be a good guitar player or a great singer, so I usually overlook those flaws when listening to punk bands, I mean because they are PUNK BANDS I didnt think having a finely tuned voice mattered. Also It's John Lydon, criticizing him for having a bad voice is like criticizing a a cake for being sweet, it's kinda the point.

Oh, I'm aware of that. I find his voice really annoying is all. And I find few singers annoying, punk or otherwise.
