Default Memories

I think most people can think of plenty of albums they like and respect, but never want to listen to because those album bring back unpleasant memories. What do you do with those albums? Do you set them aside for several years, intending to return to them? Do you junk them? Do you play them anyway?

One of the best and worst things about music is the way a song or album can act as a snapshot. So-called "guilty pleasures" tend to be "bad" albums that we associate with good memories.

Thoughts?
