Memories
I think most people can think of plenty of albums they like and respect, but never want to listen to because those album bring back unpleasant memories. What do you do with those albums? Do you set them aside for several years, intending to return to them? Do you junk them? Do you play them anyway?
One of the best and worst things about music is the way a song or album can act as a snapshot. So-called "guilty pleasures" tend to be "bad" albums that we associate with good memories. Thoughts?

Even though I only heard them this year (yeah I suck) 1979 by Smashing Pumpkins and Heartbeats by the Knife make me feel Nostalgic.
As for old stuff that's sort of a guilty pleasure, Dookie will always have a place in my heart (and iPod).

There's a couple of Warren Zevon I have a fairly hard time listening to, because they often evoke the memories of someone I was in a very serious relationship with, because they happened to be a couple of her favorites.
Also, the lyrics kind of apply to my general sense of loneliness.
