![]() No one listens to the lyrics of this song can't tell you how much times i've showed this song to people and there all "wow that's really catchy" and all the lyrics go against there morals and values. I got something to say I killed your baby today And it doesn't matter much to me As long as it's dead Well, I got something to say I raped your mother today And it doesn't matter much to me As long as she's spread Sweet lovely death I am waiting for your breath Come sweet death One last caress Go sweet lovely death I am waiting for your breath Come sweet death One last caress Well, I got something to say I killed your baby today And it doesn't matter much to me As long as it's dead Sweet lovely death I am waiting for your breath Come sweet death One last caress One last caress Sweet death One last caress Sweet death Oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh Oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh |

Salve Regina (see wiki) is a well-known traditional chant in honour of the Virgin Mary. It was composed in Latin during the Middle Ages and it's been translated into several modern languages. First line says: Salve, Regina, Mater misericordiae ("Hail, Holy Queen, Mother of Mercy").
Now the anarcho-punk "version" of Spanish band La Polla Records: "Salve, Regina! Mater misericordiae! Mater misericordiae! With the excuse of promising the Kingdom of Heaven, some rascals are making their own particular heaven on Earth. «Buy a piece of Heaven, payable in monthly instalments» Salve, Regina! Mater misericordiae! Mater misericordiae! One has to be a nut to talk about the love of God and at the same time, in schools, to be instructing the high commanders of the fascist repression. How can one be so pharisee! Salve, Regina! Mater misericordiae! Mater misericordiae! (...)"

^ It depends. Personally, I see it as a "frontal attack" on Church's hierarchy and certain organizations such as the Opus Dei.
Obviously, it's not about a large social group (ethnic, race, by gender, age, status, nationality, political ideology, class, job, etc.), and of course there are songs much more offensive than this one. But if you see it from the point of view of the "offended", we could say that, at least, it's "controversial". Dan Brown has been branded "offensive" by some for writing similar ideas. Anyway, I admit the matter is subjetive.

Too many people are confusing raunchy with offensive.
I don't have any examples right now I'm just gonna give a shout out to nazi punk and leave it at that. |
