Use by date on bands?

I'll post some up later with a reason why i think they should have broken up years ago.

I'm wondering what people's opinion on the continued relevance of a band like the stones, who ceased to make good music more than 30 years ago.

Did they make good music even then?

Yes they did. But instead of putting all their good stuff on one or two albums they spread it out over many, hence never having one above-average album, but plenty of good songs.

good example

Generic example... Metallica.

The Smiths.

The production sounded dated even back in the eighties.

because its just so relevant right now... guns n roses

dac 11-03-2008 07:54 PM

Guns N' Roses should have never made music to begin with.
