Don't get me wrong, I quite liked Bastards, Orgasmatron wasn't half bad, and their recent albums have been okay, and its not like Motorhead were EVER planning to change drastically, but they never quite reached the heights after IF... Quite liked 1916 as well...

I don't rate Iron Fist at all.

I think all the albums following it up to 1916 were far better than that album.

Another Perfect Day is misunderstood genius.
Orgasmatron is immense
Rock n Roll is raw , abrasive , patchy in places but had some of my favourite Motorhead songs ever (The title track , Eat The Rich , Traitor , Dogs , Cradle To The Grave) It's also the first Motorhead album I ever heard.
1916 Is the most diverse Motorhead will ever get.

March Or Die was where I would say Motorhead lost it.

To each their own... Sometimes when going through their later stuff just seems too patchy... But I guess they had such an awesome run to begin with... Most bands aren't so lucky.

Did you actually like 1916 though?

And what about Bastards? Not too bad an album considering MOD...

I gave up after the 'Killed By Death' single in '84. Both Rock n Roll and Orgasmatron had their moments but I can't tear myself away from the classic trio circa Overkill/Bomber, although I did catch them live in 1990.
