Looks like someone's deeply misinformed. 2007 was a banner year for indie music but was woefully impotent in other genres.

I was expressing a simple opinion, namely that the music that came out last year was, in my opinion, substantially better in overall quality and scope than the range of music that came out in 2002 (or any of the first five years of this decade for that matter). It is entirely irrelevant whether it was a good year for one type of music and a bad year for others, or whatever. This is strictly a question of pure quantity of top notch material being released. For me, 2007 wins hands down. |
