Default Artists who go solo and have GREAT bands!

Ok so this thread is about any artist who is used to be associated with a group but then went his/her separate way but now perform with a band that are either amazing or at least perfectly capture the sound.

A bit hard to follow? Sorry. Well this vid may make it more clear.

Brian Wilson no longer performs with the Beach Boys. I used to think that nobody could imitate the perfect sound they used to produce until I saw Brian play with his new band (who used to be a Beach Boys tribute act).

Brian Wilson, not as strong as he used to be (though it's a miracle he's alive) but the band are absolutely great and make this next song a dream:

I know I mention him every damn chance I get but John Frusciante made Chili pepper music look like a garage band in my opinion. His 9 solo albums are

the obvious choice would be Morrissey...he does keep the same musicians for some time

How about Bob Mould? Husker Du were great, but Sugar were pretty amazing too. And his solo stuff also kicks ass.
