I wouldn't say that

You are however probably the only person in the world who thinks Second Coming is better

Sorry but War Pigs bores the crap out of me.

Imagine this album with Into The Void or Supernaut in it's place.

Iron Man too. Faries Wear Boots is killer though.

I'm surprised people think "Elephant Stone" doesn't improve Stone Roses. I think "Elephant Stone" was arguably the best song they ever did (I go back and forth between "Elephant Stone" and "Made Of Stone").
I guess I'm probably the only one here who doesn't particularly care for Made Of Stone, but then again, I love Don't Stop and Shoot You Down.

Shoot You Down is a great song. Made of Stone is also great, but there are much better songs in that record, such as This is the One, Sugar Spun Sister and Waterfall, to name a few.

I saw the UK LP yesterday going for 50 bucks! It's two vinyls for some reason. Each side only has 2 songs : S

Oh! And I have another contribution: Synchronicity by The Police. I'm thinking of the song "Mother." I really don't know what they were thinking - may someone enlighten me?

I honestly can't pick a true favorite from the Stone Roses album. Made Of Stone is the only one I'm less than enthusiastic about, and even that one has its virtues. Sugar Spun Sister took some time to grow on me, but now I adore it (pun (?) unintended).

Good call with Synchronicity. I'm not too wild about Walking In Your Footsteps or O My God, but Mother is just plain awful. Why Sting let Andy Summers contribute songs (don't even mention Behind My Camel) is beyond me. But man, side two of Synchronicity is just about perfect!
