1977 by Ash. Essentially a perfect and spectacular album, except for the inexplicable hidden track of them laughing and (supposedly) vomiting.

Possibly the most personal and saddest lyrics he ever wrote.
At first I thought this song was about a relationship, until I considered this possibility. That he's telling us about what he thinks of death. "Committed still I turn to go. I put my trust in you". How can you leave that out? A legacy so far removed, One day will be improved. Eternal rights we left behind, We were the better kind. Two the same, set free too, I always looked to you, I always looked to you, I always looked to you. We fought for good, stood side by side, Our friendship never died. On stranger waves, the lows and highs, Our vision touched the sky, Immortalists with points to prove, I put my trust in you. I put my trust in you. I put my trust in you. A house somewhere on foreign soil, Where ageless lovers call, Is this your goal, your final needs, Where dogs and vultures eat, Committed still I turn to go. I put my trust in you. I put my trust in you. I put my trust in you. I put my trust in you. In you. In you. In you. Put my trust in you, in you. |

I didnt say lyrically it was bad, there's no such thing with Joy Division but the music it's self just completely turns me off.

I guess I'm probably the only one here who doesn't particularly care for Made Of Stone, but then again, I love Don't Stop and Shoot You Down.

I saw the UK LP yesterday going for 50 bucks! It's two vinyls for some reason. Each side only has 2 songs : S Oh! And I have another contribution: Synchronicity by The Police. I'm thinking of the song "Mother." I really don't know what they were thinking - may someone enlighten me? |
