Puberty Love (from Attack of the Killer Tomatoes)... but of course, that was sort of the point.

Shiny Happy People by REM. What a waste. Its practically written for a preschool program. It has no artistitc value. At least Michael Stipe recognizes that and hates it too.

When l looked over the Tasman at the scene in New Zealand I had a sense that there was something vital scene happening with the Dunedin sound and I was missing out. What did we have? Bogan and Classic rock radio force fed to a less than discerning public.
I'm finally getting into the classic NZ indie nowadays. The Able Tasmans, the Verlaines and the 3Ds are all great bands.

I feel a bit guilty about that post as I am a bit each to there own most of the time.

But coming to my journal soon a musical travelogue through all things New Zealand. From the Able Tasmans to Toy Love and lots in between.
