what new music is out there? (indie, cds, genre, artists)

i've been trying to find new indie artists to get attached to, and have had little luck. any suggestions?

Something new That I have never heard of before that my brother in law gave me from a bunch of free cds to look through and keep was one by the Magentic fields - Love Songs 69. Love this group Magnetic Flields there great!!
