Great songs ruined by one bad line

and would need something to eat
and that he planned on living through the gunplay

sort like saying 'i'm here for the long haul'

also the 'brown bag' thing ~ sandwiches for lunch and/or an illegal gun

When a song has a line i don't like in it

i usually just change it

i can't say that i've ever disliked a song based solely on a line of the lyrics

but there's a first time for everything, so...

)

"You were in a car crash
"And you lost your hair"

I don't think it ruins the song though, it's a really goofy line is all

what on earth does thom mean by pack of sandwiches? i mean this would be one of my absolute favorites but for some reason that line always makes me wince when i hear it

Maybe that he is offering both an offering and an ending? I have never experienced a lyric from a song that spoilt it. That's just bizarre to me. Many many lyrics are cryptic and to over analyse them would detract from the song itself IMO.

I agree completely. There really hasn't been a single moment when I've been disappointed by a writer's choice of lyrics (well, in opposition to the rest of the song).

That's funny ~ in one of the Cirque du Soleil productions, i think it was Varekai, an invented language was used for the songs.
