Music doesn't judge you. It doesn't call you a ***got, it doesn't make you feel small and insignificant. Music is curative. Music makes you feel better for being different. It gives hope to the hopeless.

But what DOES cause acts of violence? A culture of fear, a culture obsessed with violence. A culture that tells you to buy the iPod or else you won't be cool, or if you don't buy that sweatshirt the girl won't **** you. A culture that sends sweeping news graphics across flickering screens, informing you about the various way you and your loved ones can die.

The glorification of mass murderers, putting those who commit acts of massacre on pedestals, bringing psychoanalysts on TV to try and get into the mind of why someone would commit a massacre.

Those are just some of the ways.

I know the last I time I heard Burzum I felt like killing Varg Vikernes for making such shitty music.

It is a possibility.

Where people go insane at metal concerts...I wouldn't be surprised if someone got killed or seriously injured in those mosh pits.

I think miley cyrus and the jonas brothers have done much more to induce violence than any artists within the metal genre.
