I'll do a 25 best songs. Not ordered, though. Isolating 25 songs is already an amazingly inexact task...any ranking would be completely arbitrary.

When Will I See You Again - The Three Degrees
Thirteen - Big Star
Life On Mars - David Bowie
Milk Bottle Symphony - Saint Etienne
Have You Seen Her Face - The Byrds
Teenage Kicks - The Undertones
Tonight We Fly - The Divine Comedy
Sex Beat - Gun Club
Made Of Stone - The Stone Roses
Shine On - House Of Love
American Music - The Violent Femmes
Waterloo Sunset - The Kinks
Paint It Black - The Rolling Stones
Here Comes Your Man - The Pixies
Velocity Girl - Primal Scream
Paranoid Android - Radiohead
Just Like Honey - The Jesus & Mary Chain
Sunday Girl - Blondie
Teenage Riot - Sonic Youth
Melody Day - Caribou
My Girl - The Temptations
Brown Eyed Girl - Van Morrisson
Ocean [Peel Slowly Version] - The Velvet Underground
Good Vibrations - The Beach Boys
Sparky's Dream - Teenage Fanclub

This would, of course, change with mood. But that feels right for now.

I would LOVE to isolate 25 tracks but would find it impossible.

Minstrel: great choice with House Of Love-Shine On. Great track.

I cannot endorse this list in good conscience. I'll agree you have a couple good songs on there, but as a whole.. best ever? Can't agree
