Only one I know of is Creed's version of the Faculty soundtrack from 1998. Just proves it's a great song and even the worst band can't srew it up! LOL
You do know that Eric Clapton wrote Layla about Georges wife?

The amount of airplay a song gets has nothing to do with its quality...and I think it's attitudes like yours that are poisonous to indie music. Acting as though liking different things than what someone else makes you a genius or an authority and then attacking or dismissing them...way to promote non-mainstream music and the culture of fans around it to new people.
