Default Is working w/Timbaland a career killer?

It seems that no matter where I go these days, or where I read, this guy's doing something w/someone. Now, I know he's supposedly the best hip hop producer out there, but it seems to me that lately, all these bands that go ape**** about working w/him have went to ****, and their album has too?

Take Duran Duran for instance, thats all we heard was how ****ing great their latest disc "Red Carpet Massacre" was, and how they were "jacked to work w/Timbaland..blah blah blah". Yet, that disc literally took a nice honking **** right in the toilet. Admittedly, I liked it, and own it(Falling Down is the jam). But my god, seems everything this guy touches either: turns to ****, or makes $$$, with the first being the way lately.

Now, word is, he's working w/Chris Cornell(who I actually like) on a track or 3......... Might mean= No more CC after this.

I'm sure he resurrects careers and all, but still, is working w/this guy a career killer? You decide
