I haven't listened to an enormous amount by them as i'm not a huge fan but what the hell.
Tracks: 1. Advert (Modern Life Is Rubbish): My favourite song by them, it's nothing life affirming but it's a lot of fun, and can get stuck in my head for days. 2. This Is A Low (Parklife): Gorgeous song, and so british it makes me want to weep Bovril. 3. Bank Holiday (Parklife): A proper knees-up of a song, must have been on speed when they wrote it. 4. Music Is My Radar (Greatest Hits): Sounds like the Gorillaz and i love the Gorillaz, nuff said. 5. Crazy Beat (Think Tank): A great garage rock tune, on that one at least who needs Graham? Album: Modern Life Is Rubbish: I do have to admit i think it's overated, but it's their best for sure, and home to some great pop songs. Similar Artists: Pulp: Knew their way around a good pop song too. Suede: Vocal wise they're quite similar.... kinda. Another brillaint british band at the time. I think album wise they're not all that, but i can't knock their ability for releasing brilliant singles. Their songs unite thousands, whether it's the pop of Girl and Boys or the rock of Song 2 are known by everyone. Props to them, unlike their peers they developed their sound as well. |

Tracks:
1) For Tomorrow My fav Blur song and such a simple yet catchy chorus 2) Tender How can you not love the choir one this? 3) Coffee & TV Graham's urn to shine 4) On Your Own The old Blur and new one make a great song 5) Chemical World I can have this stuck in my head all day, love the drums & the watery guitar. Album: Modern Life is Rubbish One of the best albums to come out of the 90's and probably the best to come out of britpop. http://www.musicbanter.com/album-rev...bish-blur.html Similar Artists: Pulp Kinks Suede Graham Coxon (solo)

1.
Parklife (Parklife) The Universal (The Great Escape) On Our Own (Blur) I'm Just A Killer For your Love (Blur) Look Inside America (Blur) 2. Best Album Blur - Blur ...Not a filler on the whole wax. 3. Similar Artists: Pulp Menswear 4. Blur remind us of the days of the Kinks and Small Faces with a little smidgen of Sex Pistols while encompassing a fresh approach to their unique power/pop/punk plateau. Harmless witty pop that has bite.

Blur? Are you serious? As much as I can connect with Damon Albarn, I'm able to recognize that Britpop in general wasn't that good. Compared to its post-punk roots and the Roses, Britpop is an absolute fucking stain on England's history.
David Bowie, then Blur. What's next?
