Yeah that's a good idea also.
I wanna get a foundation list of artists up soon. Something that will be a good start for the guide. I'm talking all the obvious ones like Beatles, Dylan, Bowie etc etc and then also some lesser known ones. Then we can have one big artist and one lesser known per week. That way the list can also display the date when it's own thread starts, so you can keep your eye out for any favourites, and you can also see who isn't listed and then let me know of ones you want on there (only by PM). The list will thus be: A list of artists. Some will have a link to their write up after the voting ends Some will have a date of when they have their turn Some will just have the name to show that they are on the list Some may have a note saying that not enough votes were cast, and possibly the date of when they get their next chance.

How about any band who has a platinum (maybe even gold?) album will not be included? Not to be elitist, just because the idea is to introduce artist many people have never heard of. |

I think we should have one big one not-so-big each week. That way you get a good foundation whilst also highlighting 'newer' avenues of music.

How 'new' can the bands be? I mean, obviously a band that came out last year and has one studio recording wouldnt be included since theres not much there to "get into" But where should the cutoff be? And how about older bands with only one album/one album worth listening to? |

I think the main thing to keep in mind when thinking of an artist is how many people are going to contribute i.e. not many people would be voting for and have much knowledge on Spunki Pelunki.
Plus, I reckon once an artist has two albums to their name then it's fair game.
