Fenders really have been marketed to the general masses, and it seems like everyone and their mothers plays them. Now, I personally like American Standards, but you'll never find a guitar that's more overplayed.
I would never knock on Fender, but only for the existence of the Telecaster. |

I agree, but usually the people knocking on Fenders don't know anything about music anyway.
I think the fact that Hendrix played one nullifies the 1000+ pop-punk bands that use them. |

Really, what's the difference between the guitars? Is it just what looks "cool?" Most bands pile so many effects onto the guitars that it doesn't really matter. Then again, I'm not really into guitars...
