But if half of these people did their research they'd know that without Fender guitars, the cheap electric guitar, or the electric guitar as we know it may not exist. Fender pioneered cheaper electric guitars and indeed the hollow bodied guitar, which is great for creating feedback. Most of the Fender haters are classic rock bums or little rock KIDS who think that the gospel to guitar is a Gibson or an Ibanez. Either because everyone uses Gibson or because Ibanez are a metal guitar. Fender strats seem to be taken over by dumb pop boy bands who frankly, suck. But we need to remember the history of Fender and their contribution. Indeed, Ibanez and Gibson are amazing, I myself am having a Gibson Les Paul for christmas, but I would be more than happy with a Fender Mustang... any day! |
