Jeezus, the Wall was such a piece of crap. Just thinking how popular that album got pisses me off. Even remotely cool songs like Goodbye Blue Sky were overshadowed by the sh!te at the end after Run Like Hell.

Gilmour really was an accomplished guitarist, but a lot of it was overshadowed by Waters' domineering control over the band. Obscured by Clouds is one of my favorite PF records, and it has but a nominal smattering of licks written by Waters. This is just pure gold:

I know I keep extolling the virtues of Reggae but this is because I am correct. Never look for the musicianship in Reggae. That is not what it is about. It is music with passion. It is music that is fun. It is music with a message. It is music with great big fuck off basslines. It is music that never has to impress you, it only needs to move you. Get that and you will love Reggae forever.
Well said, i totally agree!

Why? Because they give me endless enjoyment with their narrow minded views. Now as many of you may know, I like plenty of Metal but that is just one aspect of my listening personality. I am here refering to the 'pure' metalhead. The one who instantly dismisses every other genre of music because it's too pussy. The one who constantly invents sub genres to look cool. The one with all the patches on his jackets yet he knows barely nothing about half the bands on there. The one who does the stupid 'devil' sign. I never did this at fourteen, let alone now. They do genuinely make me smile. Bless them.

PS if you are fourteen and reading this-you are forgiven. If you are 40 and reading this. Please open your front door, it's the real world out there and not middle earth sorry to say.
Reading this back it reminds of a recently departed member

He's only gone for a week.
If he stops insulting members, he's welcome to come back.

Dunno...couple of weeks. 3 at the most.

Whether he comes back, or not, is up to him.
Whether he gets to stay, or not...is also up to him.

#71. Never Mind The Buzzcocks

It has taken the rest of the world approx 20 series to work out what the Brits already know: NMTB is classic. Combining two of our best hobbies: music and ripping the piss out of people. First Mark Lamarr and now Simon Amstell brightening up a traditionally dull Thursday with the token flavour of the week guest who is mercilessly torn into and the iconic guess who line up. Still going strong and eminently watchable, NMTB is one of the last few British exports worth shit these days.

#70. Chillout.

It may bore the arse off everyone else but I could'nt care less. Chillout has been unfortunately hyped and commercialised but if you go hunting you can still find plenty of gems to ease you down after a day of turmoil. More people should just chill and let music take the stress out of the day for you.
