What better excuse have you got to listen to some banging guitar riff and throw shapes in your living room like you are 14 (unless you are 14 of course)? In no other hobby can you basically mime to your faves. Ever tried air drawing? Or Air acting? What about air driving? nope does'nt hold up. Air guitar wins AND it's acceptable. <3

A music lovers dream. The advent of MP3's has now enabled us to amass even more music in an easily stored format AND even find plenty of rare, long lost gems courtesy of the web. A purist will bemoan the lack of quality (which I agree with to a certain extent) but I would rather have those lost classics on MP3 than not at all. Whacking 2000 tracks onto a piece of plastic smaller than a pound coin is nothing short of a godsend to us music lovers. All hail the MP3.

The one glorious event that galvanises fans is the live gig. That feeling of everyone being there to share in your love of a band is a powerful emotion and there is nothing that makes the hairs stand up on the back of your neck than waiting for your favourite band to make an entrance. If you are extremely lucky, you may have been at one of those gigs that is remembered forever by all that saw it.

BTW Spot the musician in the crowd at this Clash gig. Easy really.

Shane MacGowan in the bottom right corner.

Some good. Some bad. Some magical. Some painful. Music is one of those rare commodities that intrinsically binds itself to memories. Sure you can remember a good film or good book but there is no other stimuli or memory that you can remember. Listening to a certain piece of music can have so many memories attached to it and that is an amazingly powerful and personal tool.

You cannot resist the ways of the axe. If anyone here that likes guitar based music tells me that they have never once played air guitar, they are lying. Air drums are cool too but that is because I'm a frustrated idiot who wants to play the drums.

see, I can convince myself that air drums suck... I can actually start doing it and look around to make sure nobody else saw me. Air guitar, I'll be looking around in hopes that somebody saw me... unless I'm at work, that never looks good.
