I really think that covering another band's song is basically a show of appreciation for the original artist.
HOW many bands have covered Bob Dylan's songs? It's practically uncountable. It's further proof of what an awesome song-writer he is! I personally think that Gn'R's cover of Knockin' On Heaven's Door is one of the all-time best covers. EVER. |

I don't love Bob Dylan's voice at all, now you've brought it up and I think about it... I can just about handle Blowin' In The Wind, but really, all my love for him goes to the songs he writes, not the way he sings them.

well I just happen to listen to non-traditional voices on the whole, so he's par for the course, but sometimes that untrained man-of-the-railways voice IS the song.
