Axl's year was about 20 years ago. Even then, he wasn't good.

Some of you dont know what a good front man is. The front man of today are jokes and crap. Go watch axl and you will see, he captivates the crowd like no other.

Brian May is a barometer of taste these days?

His hair still thinks it`s 1974.

As for Axl Rose being the greatest frontman ever , how come when I saw them everybody was cheering for Slash?

if the new album even comes close to Appetite, Axl has Josh Freese to thank.

Axl Roses name is a feeding frenzy for every "look at me" idiot who showed up here loving him and now, some time later, wants to prove what taste they have by bashing him.

The bottom line is he's one of the better front men period. Get off your pretentious high horse. You know who you are. The new tracks I've heard are pretty good, and if you're expecting another AFD, you're going to be disappointed.

^ i doubt that was pointed towards me, i am a GNR fan, I mentioned before that i WILL be getting this album. Axl is a great frontman, always have been. although i doubt he will have the energy he did 20 years ago (hopefully wont be as out of shape as Vince Neil was/is)..Ive got a few of the new songs downloaded too, some of its better than others. IMO, the new members lacked the style the OG GNR had not necessarily the talent though, except for Freese, youre not going to find a more talented/universally able drummer anywhere. everything J.F. gets his hands into will more than likely be good.

Agreed, Freese is really good.

I'm gonna get it, as I also stated like right below Fenix's post in the last thread. I think Axl is a great frontman and gets too much crap. Guns and Roses wouldn't be the same band at all without him, he was like pretty essential.

i equate axl rose to mike tyson. they are both well past their prime (15-20 yrs) but people still attend their events in hope of seeing a glimmer of what they once were. kinduv.
