I wanted to tear my teeth out. I didn't know what I wanted to do. And I want to remember it. I never want to forget it. I never want to forget. And then I realized... like I was shot... like I was shot with a diamond... a diamond bullet right through my forehead. And I thought: My God... the genius of that. |

Guns N' Roses Are Back!!
Guns N' Roses - Chinese Democracy
Almost 10 years in the making, the Guns N' Roses album, 'Chinese Democracy' , is the most expensive, unreleased album, ever. Starting in 1997, when bassist Duff McKagen, the last 'original' (although he wasn't in the band when it first formed), member of Guns N' Roses, (bar Axl Rose, the vocalist and co-founder of the band), Axl and a new lineup, minus Dizzy Reed (keyboardist), went into the studio to work on a new Guns N' Roses album. For two years, nothing appeared from long sessions which usually ran from late at night to early in the morning. Rumors swirrled into epic purportions, with rumors that Axl had gone crazy, fat, and bald, (because he hadn't been seen publicly since 1994), that the new Guns N' Roses album would be techno influenced, and that no progress was being made. However, in late 1999, Guns N' Roses displayed their first original song in 8 years, the industrial flavored 'Oh My God', which appeared on the 'End Of Days' soundtrack. NME, who are usually negative about GnR were actually postive this time: "The GNR track is brilliant - a slash and burn metal track in parts - and if their new album is as good as this then rock n' roll will be saved. The rest? Well, it's all Korn and Limp Bizkit and **** that sounds like them. 8 for Axl, 5 for the rest." Many longtime fans, however, disliked the track due to it's heavier sound. Also, Axl gives his first interview since 1994 to MTV's Kurt Loder, and tells him that he hopes the new GnR album, (which was now called Chinese Democracy for the first time publicly), will be out in 2000. Sadly though, the GnR album did not come out in 2000, like Axl had hoped. Although in late 2000, Big FD, who were GnR's management tells MTV that GnR will play some concerts in 2001, as well as release Chinese Democracy in June 2001. The new Guns N' Roses lineup does perform for the first time, but Chinese Democracy does not come out in June, and most of the tourdates are cancelled, because of an illness with guitarist, Buckethead. Guns N' Roses try to stage another comeback in 2002, in which they play some festivals throughout Asia and Europe, and then make a surprise performance to close the 2002 MTV VMA's. Although when the band schedules a North American tour, starting in Vancouver, Axl arrives too late and the venue staff pulls the plug on the show, in which a riot begins. Despite this, Guns N' Roses play around 20 more shows, until December 6, 2002, where Axl again fails to show up, this time in Philadelphia, and another riot begins. Soon after, Clear Channel, the tour's promoter, pulls the plug on the rest of the tour. In late 2003, a new Guns N' Roses track called 'IRS' is played on Eddie Trunks' radio show. (And was brought to him by guest host, Mike Piazza) Soon after, GnR management make Eddie give them the tape. On April 9, 2005, IRS finally leaks onto Guns N' Roses message boards, but in horrible quality. It was also leaked in 4 differen't parts, and this leak is missing the intro. In February 2006, 4 Guns N' Roses tracks leak onto the internet. They are: 'IRS' (in studio quality), 'Better' (A song that was first mentioned the month before by Axl), ' There Was A Time' (Or TWAT) and Catcher in the Rye. PM me if you want any of the songs. Also in this month, GnR announces their first tour dates since 2002. So as you can see, a lot of things have happened in the GnR world. Mostly, empty promises filled with evacuated tours, but things are about to change. After completing their first full tour since 1993, Guns N' Roses 'Chinese Democracy' looks more forward to a release date than ever. After successfully selling out tour dates in Europe, and a US tour starting in late September, Chinese Democracy will most likely be released in September. With me today, I bring two things. First, the Regular link contains the best quality recordings from the Chinese Democracy album. (Although 'Silkworms' will not be on it) They include live recordings, and studio demos. (As well as 'Oh My God' from 1999) The Extra link contains instrumental versions to the leaked tracks (except Catcher in the Rye), as well as 2006 live recordings and another unreleased song, which is debated to even be real, called 'Checkmate'. Finally, a version of Rod Stewarts' Sailing is included in here from a concert on July 29. PM Me If You Want These Links!! So with Guns N' Roses 'Chinese Democracy' most likely being released in November, you should pick it up, especially if you liked the old band, although now they have a modern touch. |

Guns And Roses should remain out of the music scene.
Axl gives the band a bad imagie

No such thing as bad publicity HAHA..ahyeah.
Anywho, EH. I like...no I pretty much love OLD, CLASSIC Guns 'n' Roses, and Axl makes me laugh (he was recently arrested for trashing a hotel room haha.). But I hate it when they try and come back, the time has passed, the mood gone. Be remembered with whatever dignity ya had, fa Gawd's sakes. |
