The gnr song catcher is the rye is really good.
Catcher in the Rye When all is said and done We're not the only ones Who look at life this way That's what the old folk's say But every time I’d see them Makes me wish I had a gun If I thought that I was crazy Well I guess I'd have more fun Guess I'd have more fun Ooh the Catcher in the Rye again Ooh won't let ya get away from his gun It's just another day like today You decide If I don't have to Then they'll find And I won't ask you At anytime Or long thereafter If it's cold outside I’m imaging How it’s gonna be All alone (Solo) Ooh the Catcher in the Rye again, Ooh won't let ya get away from his gun It's just another day like today When all is said and done We're not the only ones Who look at life this way That's what the young folk's say As if they'd ever change That's not whom I to say But every time I'd see them Makes me wish I had a gun If I thought that I was crazy Well I guess I'd have more fun It's what used to be's not there for me And ought to find someone that belonged insane like I do Not at all (repeat) On an ordinary day Not in an ordinary way All at once this song I heard No longer would it play for anybody Or anyone That needed comfort from somebody Needed comfort from someone who cared To be Not like you Unlike me And then the boy took that away From me So that it set the wheels in motion Haunts our memories You were the instrument You were the one How a body took the body Gave that boy a gun Took our innocence Beyond our stance Some type of moment There we got it All alone with her (hurt?) today |

So its appearing to me that most UYI fans think II is better than I. Can I just get a casual opinion on this one?

Ok well that really didn't answer my question but Ill ask another one you seem to be able to get, what is axls preference for people who shred? I mean I owe 6 buckethead albums and I love the guy, but he's not the reincarnation of Keef. And if you're making gnr, you need to have someone who thinks keef is the ****.

Slash is a lead player. Keith is predominately a rhythm player, he plays lead too, but his best moments are always in his rhythm playing. Izzy is more like Keith than Slash. |

it was more in asthetic perception. Keef keeps the stones grounded from taking off into ridiculous stupidity in my opinion. As we've seen, without the Slahsh-anchor, Gun's is trying to be a NIN/Queen combo.

I don't think its a good thing. Musically, Slash was the main event in Guns N Roses, and Izzy was the one that held everything together.
Now they have Ron Thal (a super shredder and virtuoso) on guitar, Robin Finck (Nine Inch Nails) on guitar, Tommy Stinson (The Replacements) on bass and Brain Mantia (Primus) on drums, not a bad ensemble. But it ain't GnR. Last edited by boo boo; 07-13-2007 at 09:49 AM. |

Oddly enough, Axl is the Tony Soprano of the music industry and I can understand why he wants GnR to be so great, but why not show up on other people's projects or produce or get a side gig. Do something old me, but get that voice out there.

Axl Rose Heralds New Guns N' Roses Album
May 8, 12:07 PM EST The Associated Press NEW YORK -- Rock recluse Axl Rose made a surprise radio appearance to proclaim that Guns N' Roses' 10-years-in-the-making "Chinese Democracy" album will finally hit store shelves this fall. The comments Saturday on Eddie Trunk's syndicated radio show marked the first interview the painfully private Rose has given since his failed 2002 comeback tour, which was abruptly scrapped midway amid riots and canceled shows. Rose's impromptu appearance came when former Skid Row frontman Sebastian Bach, who was co-hosting the show, called Rose's cell phone and patched the call through the studio. Quizzed on when the near-mythical album would come out, Rose said, "Sometime this fall or late fall." His band could be heard rehearsing in the background. "It will be out this year." Trunk invited Rose to drop by the studio, and about an hour later he did. Asked about the aborted 2002 comeback tour, which ended when Rose failed to appear for a gig in Philadelphia, Rose told Trunk he felt pressured into doing it before he was ready. But he insisted he has no regrets, since the short-lived tour helped the new band members to gel. (The 2002 lineup included keyboard player Dizzy Reed from the original GNR, former Nine Inch Nails guitarist Robin Finck, bassist Tommy Stinson from the Replacements, guitar shredder Buckethead, drummer Brian "Brain" Mantia, formerly of Primus, guitarist Richard Fortus from the former Psychedelic Furs and Love Spit Love, and keyboard player Chris Pittman.)
