So that just shows how that gnr was just as big if not bigger than LZ since in half the amout of years gnr sold more albums.

Sorry but you lose again.

Oh yeah and btw LZ IV is about 8 songs, you take the best 8 songs from UYI I and II and its better than LZ IV (IMO).

Dont cry
Nov rain
Coma
Civil war
Estranged
Breakdown
Locomotive
YCMB
my favourite LZ albums are I and II, so get your facts straight first of all. GnR had one good album of classics, LZ had at least 5 packed with brilliant, classic songs.
whole lotta love
black dog
stairway to heaven
immigrant song
dazed and confused
communication breakdown
what is and what should never be
achilles last stand
when the levee breaks
the ocean
heartbreaker
kashmir
in my time of dying
to name a few, the list is endless. any rational person can see LZ's career was a lot bigger, better and generally more successful than GnR, testament to LZ for being around and relevant for 12 years, shame GnR couldnt do the same huh? and as YOU say, stats dont lie. but of course anyone who argues against you is wrong,

What facts are those? Like I said UYI were classic albums too, just because you do not want to admit that does not make it so, also LZ had some really ****ty albums, but of coarse you would never admit that. If you really do not think that Civil war, Nov rain or estranged do not stack up with those songs you mentioned then you are a lost cause.

I am curious to how old you are? Because if you are around your 30s then you would know how huge guns n roses were in the early 90s.

Also guns n roses self-destructed yet their music still lives on in the year 2005, they are still on heavy rotation on modern rock stations and classic rock stations here in Boston. Plus, you go to any sporting event in the world, and you are going to here welcome to the jungle at least once. Also gnr were around for pretty much the same amount of time as nirvana, so what do you have to say to that?

And you still have not shown how LZs career was much bigger than
Gnrs. Like I said, show me when LZ played in front of 7m people during a three year span then you will have an argument, but like I said gnr were just as big if not bigger than LZ was in the 70s. Dont just say no I am wrong, prove it. The fact is, you wont prove it, because you cannot prove it.

You wanted to go on just album sales of LZ IV vs AFD, but I showed you half the amount of years AFD sold more than LZ IV did. So what do you want to try to prove next?

Fact is gnr is still very popular today, just look at their GHs album it was the 10th biggest seller in the world last year,, not too bad for a band that has not released any new album (of original material since 1991).

You have gotten your @$$ kicke this whole thread so you really need to stop before you look even worse.

I need to repeat myself because SOME PEOPLE keep dodging the question yet keep disputing what I am saying. Also, I have heard WTTJ in games not played in the USA (ie hockey games).

No but you are making yourself look like an @$$ by making chidish comments like that.

And again show me where LZ played in front of more than 7m people in a three year span. If you cannot prove that then gnr were just as big as LZ if not bigger at their peak.

So, either put up or shut up, because just saying it is not going to make it true.

Yes when LZ were at their peak they were the biggest band since the beatles but when gnr was at their peak they suprassed that.

Ok, I havent the time nor the patience to sit down and read through all of that properly, but if we're still talking about the 'biggest band' thing, surely that would mean more sales? Whoever had more sales is beyond me, and Im not about to look it up, but wouldnt more sales mean more success?

*Sigh* Whatever will stop these repetitive childish remarks is worth a try..

Well then why the hell is there 7 pages on who the bigger band was. The more sales and success, the bigger the band is.

No because one band started in the 70s, and that same band has 10 albums while the other bands started in the late 80s and only has 3 real albums. So just sales is not a correct indicator. -

Why do you keep dodging my question about touring? And like I said, when YOU brought up LZ IV their biggest seller. AFD sold more albums in less time than LZ IV did. OF coarse LZ IV will have sold more albums overall than AFD since it came out ten years before it.
Its really basically math. Of coarse a band that has 10 albums is going to out sell a band with only 3 albums.

You do know that in the 6 years gnr toured they played in front of more people than zeppelin did in their 10 years?

The UYI tour broke all kind of records for touring and that is a fact.

Its ok stu, you have lost badly on all counts, ill take your not answering of my question your way of admiting you lost.
