They pay you £20 to take them off their hands. They are called 'anti touts'. They brave the streets to dispense twenty pound notes and copious amounts of Jonas Brothers tickets.

More then your life. Either that or the scalper gets to break your behymen.
Seriously you're paying 4x face value a lot of times because of demand.

Isn't it obvious?
Sure the fact that Hannah Montana and the Jonas Brothers have gotten extremely popular and more hype than tween popsters usually get (which is already a lot) may seem a bit surprising at first, but when you think about it it makes perfect sense. Record companies are doing horribly, because most of us musicgoers now realise it's a waste of our money and we might as well download music for free like everyone else, nobody cares that it's illegal anymore, its a law thats not enforced. So record companies turn to kids, they don't use the internet so much, and the parents monitor what they do and they certainly won't let them download music illegally. Record companies need to appeal to them now and they just know how to do it, using the same formula that has always worked but now with a little help from Disney, the worlds greatest controller of childrens thoughts. Performers like this are probably gonna be the saviors of the record industry. |

I don't think people are buying any less than they use to. Fuck, people are buying more just not from the big four. Who's keeping track of the cd-r spraypainted disc with cardboard packaging that your brother's girlfriend's old roommate's brother made? But yes kids easy to manipulate so it really isn't any wonder acts like this are so huge.
