Yeah, I really dont get the hype either...Theres two or three bores on there that I think people only put up with because they either REALLY like the rest of it, or want to agree with every record review website/magazine in existence.

25 : Billy Corgan's Hair There is a tried and tested method of discovering if a Smashing Pumpkins album you own is worth listening to. You simply look to see if Billy Corgan has hair when he recorded it or not. If he does it's a good album if he didn't it's a shit album. I can't explain this phenomenon but it works.

Well personally Spiritualized's Ladies & Gentlemen We Are Floating In Space and Super Furry Animals Radiator from that year got more plays on my stereo than OK Computer ever did.
And I guess there's also a case to be made for Mogwai's Young Team & The Verve's Urban Hymns by people who like them much more than I do.
