I don't care for the Cure either... for the longest time I couldn't understand how anybody could enjoy Guns n Roses because of Axl's voice alone, to me it was like crapping all over a nicely put together piece of art when his vocals would kick in. It's all an acquired taste I guess.

GnR play rock n roll. I think scruffier "unclean" vocals are much more suitable for that kinda music so I'd much rather have a Bon Scott, David Lee Roth or Axl Rose than a Chris Cornell or Mike Patton. Axl suited GnR perfectly.
