After coming of age around the time that Riot grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrl came around I can only agree with this. I didn't know any normal girls that were into Riot grrrrrrrrr(ok i'm bored of doing this now)rrrrrrrrrrrrl. The only girls I was aware of into this stuff were gobby middle class girls who looked down on anyone who lived in a smaller house than them and had a chip on their shoulder because their parents bought them the wrong car or something.

I'd like to say that this is a big stereotype but it isn't. My best friend's girlfriend used to hang out with one of these morons on a regular basis. she even tried to set me up with her on account of 'you're into punk and so is she , you'll go well together'
Sadly it didn't work out , Sitting around her house on a Saturday night listening to some shitty Babes In Toyland album while she played with her underarm hair wearing a t shirt that hadn't seen washing power in 3 months wasn't quite what I would call fun. and I did find it quite funny that while she called herself a feminist and bored everybody to tears about it she'd still end up trying to get a sympathy fuck out of any guy her best friend bought round , (No I didn't BTW).
As for the music itself , I have nothing against women doing punk. I have Slits albums , Shonen Knife albums , Siouxsie Sioux albums , X Ray Spex albums , Delta 5 albums ..............and so on and so on. I just can't stand this kind of stuff , granted it's not aimed at me , but it's there so I can comment on it.

Where the hell do I start here.

It would be too easy to put Kiss in here but I don't want to. For a start I quite like a few of their albums. Secondly I don't think Paul Stanley deserves to be anywhere near this list. I've never heard anything about his private life , he still goes around with his own band playing club shows , which to me shows he still has a huge enjoyment from playing music and personally I think he carries himself in a pretty dignified way for someone who's as big a rock star as he is.

And then we have Gene Simmons

As someone who started off liking Kiss I found that the more I found out what this man was like the more I hated him. Now i'm not one of these people with an indie holier than thou attitude who'll deride any band for making something thats quite obviously commercial. If you set out to do that and make a success of it then well done , even more well done if you do that and make something that I can enjoy.
But Simmons just seems to get greedier & greedier. When someone says that some of the stuff you do to make money drags the bands name through the dirt you could pass it off unwanted criticism from a 'hater' , when another member of Kiss saying that it's probably safe to say that you are.
Never mind Gene , you just keep on replacing Ace's & Peter's , having your spoilt brats in a TV show, wearing that stupid wig you've been wearing since the early 80s and making really shit Prodigy covers while dressed as a pimp in a pathetic attempt to gain credibility, you won't get a single penny out of me. You might be the image of Kiss , but you were never the talent behind it , not that you care anyway.

Now I think it's really mean to say stuff like that about someones weight, then again Beth Ditto is a huge attention whore who goes around insulting other womens appearance (seriously) when she looks like the fat drag queen guy from those John Waters movies. She seems bitter towards any woman more attractive than her, which means she has her hands full. And for that I would pity her for her insecurity, that is if she wasn't such a talentless and mean spirited media hog. Quite the loathsome creature.

Plus she says she dosen't use deodorant, which is horrifying considering how sweaty she gets. I bet she smells like a buffalo's assh*le that someone just barfed in.
