They have a dude named Turkey, a singer who used to look like Ellen Degeneres and a guy who is really good at Fifa Soccor on Wi...close enough?

Horse with no Name is not a metal song. It's barely aluminum

The Detroit thing is a big sticking point.

Thats practically exotic compared to Scunthorpe or Hull

Being born in Ireland aside, I can tell you Detroit is anything but exotic.

Yeah but i'm from a small island. I can relate to the hopelessness of a shitty British seaside resort much more than a big Amercian city.

Certainly. Personally I've enjoyed the renaissance of metal music here stateside.

Local clubs are full of great music these days, you just got to wade through the shit to find the diamonds.

Urban Hat€monger ? 08-23-2008 09:45 PM

At least you have local clubs.

I went to a Billy Childish gig here a couple of years back. (The first proper gig here in about 5 years of any band)

In the dining room of a bowling club
