I didn't say I liked them, but a lot of them have the talent and have the influence, most are in the mainstream from Foo Fighters to Puddle of Mudd etc.
You're a complete div to not understand grunge's influence on music. I'm somewhat under 5 foot and take pictures at gigs... but I don't use a camera phone, I use a 10.1 megapixel digital camera so I have some quality to my pictures.

What is "div" short for? Or is it an entire slang word? If so, could you define it?

I think it would also be a good idea to decide what we want to call influence and what we want to call a "lifting of style." the bands being cited as the reason for grunge being a bad influence weren't really influence, they heard smells like teen spirit and hung up their posion cover band attire and went to the thrift store. Grunge did just fine in my estimation. If you think music can be fake today, the 80's did fake like no ones business. I mean, devo wanted to be robots for god's sake, that should tell you something. I think grunge went quite a ways in reminding the people that music could be passionate.

I don't understand the appeal of it, I remember being at a Senses Fail concert, very small club and the music was just way too loud, and everyone is pushing me around even though I don't want to participate, meanwhile some drunk people are getting sick. Not my idea of fun.
