In a word and a half - fucking A.

I've said the other day how I've come across a library of bootlegs and how they're all uploaded in flac format as individual songs. Considering a lot of these are two-disc recordings, and the fact my connection speed is pretty slow, downloading one album takes an insane amount of time. It's a day's waiting around for the files at least.

And of course, as you say, there's no way to tell what the quality's like. Makes me wonder if it's worth it, which is a shame as I've been after recordings of some of the tours I've found for years.

108 : YouTube Removing Music Videos

Aww fuck

I guess i'll just have to download the song illegally to hear it now.

djchameleon 07-12-2009 04:54 AM

yeah that's starting to get annoying along with them disabling audio on certain videos because they used a copywrited song.

I was ranting about that earlier.

I mean they'll remove the audio completely from a 10 minute video just because it features 20 seconds of said copyrighted song, it's stupid.

But like I said before, the worst thing about it is that it sets you up to be ambushed by the dreaded audio swap.

109 : Bands That Insist On Calling Songs 'Untitled', Especially Ones Who Make A Whole Album Of 'Untitled' Songs

It's not clever, it's not original. in fact it's just fucking annoying and unnecessary. It's been done to death, you are not showing your artistic side.

And if you're one of these bands who say 'Well actually we wanted the music to speak for itself, we felt giving the song a title took away something and that the listener should make their own interpretations of the songs' quite frankly this makes you nothing more than a pretentious art school drop out wannabe cock and you deserve to die.

I'm guessing you're a huge fan of Global Communication's 76:14 then :D

I also find it irritating when bands call a song 'Untitled' but then put an actual name in brackets next to it...

Bulldog 10-06-2009 03:48 PM

Well, it's definitely pretty irritating. Of course, if it's a genuinely brilliant song, they can get away with it. Like this for example.

gunnels 10-06-2009 03:49 PM

The first thought that came to me was Sigur Ros.

Astronomer 10-06-2009 04:02 PM

^ Ha, yeah, ( ) is exactly what I was thinking of.
