although i also hate youtube's audio swaps with every fiber of my being, if they're gonna do it, then they should at least have common sense and remove vids that are necessary to have the songs on them(i.e., a song uploaded with a video being the picture of the album), instead of just the song

I remember a few years ago during the row when Alex Ferguson wrapped a football boot around David Beckhams head. Everybody was going on about it and all I can remember was seeing him pictured in a t-shirt with The Cult's Electric album on it thinking to myself 'That guy listens to the Cult about as much as I listen to his wife'.

I remember when I was in high school everyone was wearing A.F.I t-shirts, even the jocks...and this was even before they were on a major label.

I remember when I was learning how to play guitar and I saw that video where puffy daddy's pretending to play a les paul, while I was playing an acoustic where the bridge was glued on with elmer glue. That's another piss off.

Ironic covers by so-cal punk bands.

Talking Heads, nu-metal, classic rock facist dads, gene simmons, van halen,

I am really enjoying your list Urban. I have been working on it for a few hours and I made it to pg 38. I still have quite a way to go, but here are a few things you said that I must see to--

I put southern rock in the same category I put happy hardcore in that I can feel my brain cells melting when I listen to it. I don't know why that should be. Maybe because it's because I feel you have to own a pick up truck and shoot at furry mammals to appreciate it fully , maybe it's because I don't want a peice of music to make me feel like a redneck ... who knows. I don't normally look down on a genre of music if I can help it but in this case I can't help myself. It's like the American equivalent of chav music. In the UK you get chavs in souped up Vauxhall Novas blasting out drum & bass in the US you get rednecks in pick up trucks blasting out Southern Rock. To me it's the same thing.
Gasp. Lets just get this straight here. I have never listened to any Southern Rock that talks about pick up trucks or shooting furry animals, and I fully enjoy Southern rock while driving a purple oldmobile car and I would never shoot a furry animal as long as I live. I think you have mistaken Southern rock for new country or something of the sort. I live in Kansas, I know these rednecks of which you speak. And I also know the difference between these two genres. Yes, you will see the occasional redneck blaring Sweet Home Alabama, but I have NEVER seen a redneck blaring Marshall Tucker Band (great Southern Rock).

Proof
Marshall Tucker Band "Can't You See"

*Flute Solo, mind you

I'm gonna take a freight train down at the station, Lord
I don't care where it goes
Gonna climb a mountain, the highest mountain, Lord
And gonna jump off, aint nobody gonna know
Can't you see, oh, can't you see,
What that woman, Lord
She been doin' to me
Can't you see, oh, can't you see
What that woman, been doin' to me

I'm gonna find me a hole in the wall,
Im gonna crawl inside and die
Cause my lady, now a mean old woman, Lord
Never told me goodbye
Can't you see, oh, can't you see,
What that woman she been doin' to me
Can't you see, oh, can't you see,
What that woman, she been doin' to me

Im gonna buy me a ticket as far as I can,
I ain't never comin' back
Im gonna take me that south-bound,
All the way to Georgia now,
Till the train it run out of track
Can't you see, oh, can't you see,
What that woman, she been doin' to me
Can't you see, oh, can't you see,
What that woman, what she been doin' to me

This below is what I believe you are thinking of. Yes, terrible I might add.

Summertime - Kenny Chesney

Summertime is finally here
That old ballpark, man, is back in gear
Out on 49
Man I can see the lights

School's out and the nights roll in
Man, just like a long lost friend
You ain't seen in a while
And can't help but smile

And it's two bare feet on the dashboard
Young love and an old Ford
Cheap shades and a tattoo
And a Yoo-Hoo bottle on the floorboard

Perfect song on the radio
Sing along 'cause it's one we know
It's a smile, it's a kiss
It's a sip of wine, it's summertime
Sweet summertime

Temperature says 93
Down at the Deposit and Guarantee
But that swimmin' hole
It's nice and cold

Bikini bottoms underneath
But the boys' hearts still skip a beat
When them girls shimmy off
Them old cutoffs

And it's two bare feet on the dashboard
Young love and an old Ford
Cheap shades and a tattoo
And a Yoo-Hoo bottle on the floorboard

Perfect song on the radio
Sing along 'cause it's one we know
It's a smile, it's a kiss
It's a sip of wine, it's summertime
Sweet summertime

This, sir, is what the rednecks are playing in their pick ups. NOT Marshall Tucker Band

Well Marshall Tucker is certainly on the more cultured end of the Southern Rock spectrum.

107 : Flac Format Bootlegs That Are Uploaded In About 7 Different Parts.....

And when you finally download them all you discover all you have is a really really shitty 5th generation copy of an audience recording made by a guy standing in a different fucking building to the band that are playing.

Why the fuck would you want such a shitty sounding audience recording as a lossless file?

I just don't get it, Stop wasting my fucking time making me download this shit.
