People have given me **** over the stuff I like, just as I have some of you.

As I said, I dont like current/modern music, You do, no biggie. I compare alot of today's music, to music from the late 70s/80s, and I just dont think anything from today compares to it.

I dont know what "twattery" means, but it's hysterical, thanks.
Whoa. What did the 80s have that was as good as 90s (besides thrash metal)?

The Flaming Lips, Bjork, Blur, Nirvana, were all excellent. I am not into Radiohead that much, not huge on Yorke but I think the 90s had better music than the 80s. I like Nick Cave and Cure a little, but the Flaming Lips (and Radiohead) seem to be much better than a lot of the stuff the 80s was pumping out. Any specific bands you think are incredible from the 80s?

The Flaming Lips released music in the 80s and the 80s had plenty of good bands: The Smiths, Joy Division, Talk Talk, The Feelies, The Cure, Minutemen, Sonic Youth, Pixies, Public Enemy, Husker Du, Dinosaur Jr., The Jesus and Mary Chain, NWA, New Order, Rites of Spring, Tom Waits, Talking Heads, Violent Femmes, Dead Kennedys, Black Flag, Meat Puppets and De La Soul to name some.

I completely forgot about the Smiths, Talking Heads and Dead Kennedy's are alright. Flaming Lips didn't release a lot of good stuff in the 80s though...Telepathic Surgery is nice, but that's it.

Not true, Oh My Gawd and Finally the Punk Rockers are Taking Acid are both solid albums. Besides Radiohead released more music and in some cases better music in the 00s than in the 90s.

I didn't know the latter album existed, but Oh My Gawd is probably their second worst album.

Didn't Radiohead release Ok Computer in 1997? Karma Police is amazing. Anyways I thought Ok Computer and The Bends were some of their best albums.
