Agreeeed, it's the strongest Pumpkins album, IMO. I loved Siamese Dream but it didn't leave a lasting impression like Mellon Collie did.

its tough to say which album i prefer, but i can honestly say i am extremely surprised that there was no entry dedicated to radiohead or radiohead fans

I hope an index is added to this list...I'd actually like to go through it with out all the commentary, not that I don't enjoy it, but it's a long way entry-to-entry

And you don't keep an open mind, for you to say that all current music sounds the same is complete twattery considering the incredible diversity in modern music.

No ones giving you **** for what music you like, it's your close minded attitude and ability to dismiss whole periods of music and genre's without a moments thought.

I do keep an "open mind", and have in the past. Then, I realize that today's music just isn't very good. I didn't "misinterpret" anything, I understood it, and enjoyed it. Just found a bit of hypocricy with it(not directed @ Urban).

People have given me **** over the stuff I like, just as I have some of you.

As I said, I dont like current/modern music, You do, no biggie. I compare alot of today's music, to music from the late 70s/80s, and I just dont think anything from today compares to it.

I dont know what "twattery" means, but it's hysterical, thanks.:)

Fruitonica 10-20-2008 06:13 AM

twattery (adj), relating or pertaining to the act of being a twat :D

Awesome, good job Urban!!! #1 really tied the thread together.

Mediocrity is indeed frustrating.

I like how there was an entire thread earlier where everyone agreed that music can't be judged objectively, and yet people are getting mad that someone said 'In Rainbows' was mediocre. Mediocrity is indeed objective as well.

I havent listened to much 'In Rainbows'. It's okay, from what I've heard, definitely overrated, maybe it's a grower, who knows. But I think the fact that it's compared to Kid A and OK Computer as far as quality is silly.

So mediocrity is objective but greatness isn't?
