1. Blonde Redhead "23"
Superb track. I want to hear more. Lots more. 2. They Might be Giants "Birdhouse In Your Soul" I hate this track. 3. Ride "Black Night Crash" Of course! 4. Six Finger Satellite "Coke And Mirrors" It seemed to go nowhere and just sort of sat there, but repeat listens have grown on me. Liking this alot. 5. Akphaezya "Reflections" I love anything that fecks with a genre template and this did just that. At times it slipped into some banal Nu-Metal Schizz that seemed totally against what the track was about. Definitely intrigued with these. 6. The Ruby Suns "Blue Penguin" Does'nt do anything for me at all. 7. Screeching Weasel "What We Hate" It does what it says on the tin: Punk by numbers. Bored me. 8. English Beat "March Of The Swivelheads" Not one of their better tracks but massive kudos for inclusion. The Beat seemed to get left behind in the 2nd wave Ska revival. 9. Gentle Giant "Prologue" Yawn. heard it all before and better. 10. Channel One "Rhythm & Purpose" I was taken aback when I found out it was RT's choice. Not just because it's a great song, its the fact that it seems so off kilter to what he listens to as there is a big emphasis on electronics on the track. Want to hear more. 11. Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds "Jesus Of The Moon" Great track but an uninspired choice I think. 12. Boomtown Rats "I Don't Like Mondays" It's OK but 'Rat Trap' would have been much more preferable! 13. Lifter Puller "Manpark" Tolerable but it did'nt inspire me to look further into their music. 14. The Walkmen "Canadian Girl" No. 15. The Kinks "Sunny Afternoon" Englishmen do not diss The Kinks. End of. 16. Skeleton Crew "The Birds Of Japan" Once again a track from CA that get's better and better with each listen. 17. Graf Orlock "The Dream Left Behind" Oh yeah. Hated the soundtrack lift though. Great energy and cool name.

I probably should have picked Giant or River instead, or In A Glass House which was the song I was originally gonna use. But whatever, I still love Prologue a lot, it's a bit repetitive for a prog song and a rather simple one by GG standards, I just love the melody and the vocals, and that really random break in the middle. |

Ok. I still think you'd like a whole album by them since you like Yes and Genesis, any of their first 5 albums will do.
